End of Tax Season

Yes, I know most of you dread tax day, but it is a great day for us!!! What to do on such a special day.....um....maybe relax a bit....how about a nice quiet drive.....maybe a movie......
or you can take the kids to the "happiest place on earth" or at least Boise right?

And yes, we do have another child, and no we didn't forget him in the car. Landon decided he would rather take his nap at Grandma's than go see Chuckie.

This is Brayden dancing to the Chuckie music....Yes, he's got my skills!

My budding artist...

Brayden was really never one to sit still for any extended period of time, but lately, he has really started coloring and drawing. Maybe it is because he goes to a "school of the arts" magnet school. We certainly didn't send him there because of any signs that he was especially artistic, but it does teach keyboarding and art and I liked the environment there. It also helped that it is less than a mile away and most of his friends go there. When I came downstairs this day, he was drawing so intently that I had to grab my camera. I loved how he looked with the afternoon light shining on him, so still and serious. It is a part of Brayden that doesn't come out very often. What made it even better was when I saw that he was drawing a picture of me and him together. An educated artist might critique his work- maybe pointing out that the toes don't actually go up one's leg. And surely his mom's neck is not that large. And look how tiny the little boys head is. But his mother sees that he gave her nice thick hair and a smile. That he drew himself and her side by side. And when he presented it to me I thought it was perfect.

KIDS

The kids got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa Smith and Aunt Tess and Uncle Ryan. They got these cute pics of the kids- who by the way- had a BLAST! This is a typical Landon shot- him just chillin like a villian!

WAHOOOOOOOOOO!

Tonight is my last night (for a while anyway) as a tax-season widow! I can't wait to have my hubby home so I can put my cold feet on him while I fall asleep, and so I have someone to pawn the kids off on when I'm just worn out for the day, and so I can have an adult conversation, and so we can talk for more than 5 minutes each day. But wait, I guess this means I'm going to have to start cooking dinner again! Oh, well, I'll take Billy over not cooking any day! Thanks hon, for working so hard! We love you!
