Merry Christmas

Image
Merry Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas in Lewisville with my family. There was lots of food- as always (thanks Mom), lots of games (I won Settlers!), lots of gifts (yea! I got a new digital camera), lots of kids (6 to be exact), lots of snow (we almost didn't make it to the movies) and many wonderful memories. The electricity went out Christmas eve just as we were going to read the Christmas story. So, we rounded up all the candles and read the Bible with a flashlight. It was very calm and was the perfect settting to remember the birth of our Savior. It might just become a new Christmas tradition. Brooklyn loved the doll stroller that she got. Brayden's Christmas was basically a Star Wars festival! He got a couple of Star wars ships and figures and has been either Gen. Grievous or Luke Skywalker ever since. Billy got a new Ipod with the Nike+ system. It tracks your running and all kinds of stuff. And to top it off, I got a whale of a cold and cough from my dear dad! At l...

Two Totally Cute Things

Cute thing number 1 My little doll with blonde pigtails holding her little doll with blonde pigtails. Cute thing number 2 This little christmas count-down thing I made for my sister. If you can't tell, they are little tins decorated and attached to a cookie sheet with magnets. You can put little candies inside as you count down to Christmas. It turned out so cute I want to make one for myself- well, maybe next year.

Oh, Christmas Tree!

Here we are with our beautiful REAL -straight from the forest- tree. Okay, its a little "Charlie Brown", but we love it.

Here is our Smith crew! What a crazy bunch we are- or maybe a normal bunch and then crazy me. We have so much fun together. I feel so lucky to have great in-laws. They put up with me and my "fun" ideas.

TURKEY DAY

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We have pretty much been living at Billy's parents house since all the siblings are home. It is a big fun group, and we are enjoying seeing the babies (Benson and Anna's little Riley and Adam and Sara's little Macey). They are so fun. We had a fun b-day party Wednesday night for Billy's dad, stayed up late and played games. Thursday, we drove downtown and did family pictures. I think there were actually a few where all 20 of us were looking at the camera. Then we had dinner. Billy won the "roll off". He said he thought his g-mas rolls were the best, even though my Mom's are really the best in the WORLD. So here is the scoring. Billy's Rolls: looks A+, taste A. Megan's Rolls: looks B (okay I burned the first batch, but it wasn't my fault.) taste A+. So that was our Thanksgiving. Hope you all enjoyed yours!

Family Pictures

Our dear friend Sheryl Brewster was so sweet and took us out to get some family pictures. The kids decided it would be funny to alternate looking at the camera for each picture. We had a fun time though on a beautiful day.

Cooks in the Kitchen

Brayden (age 4) and his Daddy whipped up some yummy cookies. Now, if I could only get them cooking for dinner too!

Funny Story....

Well, I was looking at the family blog when I thought to myself, we should have a blog for our little family. You can imagine my surprise when I was setting it up and it said someone was already using "billyandmegan" Well, I wanted to see just who this "billyandmegan" were, so I typed in the blog address, and guess what! This blog had just one picture and hadn't been updated since June. The picture however was of the CUTEST baby.....Brooklyn. Okay, so my mind is going and apparently we set this up some time ago. We'll give it a try once more :)
