Star Wars, Clone Wars Adventure

When I was little, my sisters and I would make "stop-animation" videos with our My Little Ponies and those wierd troll dolls. We'd get out the video camera and push play, count to three and then stop. Of course, there were lots of shots with our hands reaching in, telling each other to be quiet, etc. When I took the kids to the discovery center, they had a little center (though we couldn't quite get it to work right) with a digital camera, and then they put it into a slideshow. Brilliant! Why hadn't I ever thought of that before? So much easier- and just delete the pics that didn't work. It still took a while, but Brayden and I had lots of fun. So, Brayden and I proudly present a Star Wars, Clone Wars Adventure!

Discovery Center

My friend Charise and I took the kids to the Discovery Center. We've been there a few times, and it is always fun. Charise, you owe me for not putting the "air blower" picture of you in :)!!!! FYI, they are offering family passes for $40 (10 dollars off the regular price) if you buy in March. Also, the passes are supposed to work at other children's museums/centers- 3 of them are in SLC.
After the Discovery Center, and one major fit (not from Brooklyn or Landon) we went to Billy's office which is also downtown. We brought sandwiches and raised the regular volume level in the break room. Billy has such nice co-workers. I can't believe that when he started there we had NO kids and now I'm hauling 3 with me to have lunch with him. The kids and I made a countdown calendar, with the rings that you tear off each day. It is nice to see the chain getting shorter!

Sunny Days, sweeping the clouds away!

Yep, I'm playing catch up. We had some good weather so I took the kids out to the park. This is only the 2nd time we've been since Landon was born. You might think that's not too bad, all things considered, except we live right across the street from the playground! It was nice to get some sun and let the kids run around. Landon looked pretty cool in his sunglasses and his little hat- it is getting small for him already, so he looked kinda gansta. He enjoyed himself until he got hungry. Brooklyn loved it, until she tripped going from the sidewalk to the bark. Poor thing! Luckily, Brayden was able to rush her to the "hospital" in the nice red firetruck they have there.

Home, Sweet Home

Brayden was on Track Break during March, so my sister and I decided to pack up the kids and head to our parent's house in Lewisville, Idaho. It was tons of fun, as usual. Some highlights were going snowmobiling with my dad, riding around in his new "Razor", seeing Landon with his Great-Grandma Bramwell, playing with all my nieces and nephews, going out to lunch with my 2 of my friends with no kids, going to the I.F. museum, hanging out and lots and lots of eating. My Dad and I were supposed to go out and do some real snow machining, but he cracked something on his, so we just rode together on my Mom's machine. Unfortunately, the snow was a little patchy in the fields, but it was still fun. Maybe next year Dad!

Rough-Housing Mommy Style

My kids have been going through wrestling withdrawl while their Dad is gone working his late nights. So, I finally had to take matters into my own hands, but when it's 2 kids against 1 mom, I thought I might need a little extra protection!

Playing Beauty Parlor

Is she cute or what? Lately, my little girl has been running around with crazy, unbrushed, ratted, bedhead. Yes, we have gone to the store like that. And Yes, her hair has moved down the priority ladder since Landon was born. I love playing with her hair, and she seems to like it too. There is rarely a complaint, and if there is, it is just an "owwww" if I pull to hard. So the other day, I decided we'd go all out and even curl it. I don't do this a lot, because I don't want to fry what little hair she has, but I have to admit it turned out cute. She was so funny "showing" it off while I took pictures. Yep, she is a ham. Later that night, I was flipping through channels and came across Toddlers and Tiaras (a show about child beauty pageants). Yikes- it freaked me out! Seeing little girls so "dolled" up that they didn't look real.....kinda creepy. So, while I love to "doll" my little girl up, there is a definite line I DON'T want to cross!

My boys....

I think we have another accountant on our hands- Landon is way too interested in this spreadsheet! Billy has been working so hard and such long hours- even bringing stuff home with him so he can see the kids a little during the week. This tax business is rough, but we're grateful for it. Thanks Billy for bringing home the bacon! Do you think Landon looks like me or Billy?... I would have said me, just because...

But I'd have to say he's taking more after Billy- he's even got the tough guy smirk going on!
